The North River Electric House is pleased to present works on paper by Lynne Tobin. The exhibition opens Thursday July 17 with a reception for the artist from 5:00 - 7:00 and runs through October 1, 2025.

Lynne Tobin's solo exhibition, Line Studies, delves into the art of mark-making, presenting a compelling dialogue between rhythmic, linear textures and spontaneous, gestural expression. With threads and rope saturated in black Sumi ink, Tobin creates sculptural forms and spaces on the two dimensions of white paper, deftly balancing on the cusp of controlled execution and unrestrained creativity. Drawing inspiration from simple materials, everyday rituals, and meditation practice, Tobin’s black-and-white drawings explore rhythm and movement while creating new spaces for being.
