ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
The solo exhibition Whitney Hagen | Chromatic Conditions at the annex gallery of Castello 925 presents paintings that depend on flat colors to shape and bend space. Painted on wood panels, these abstract 21st-century icons glow like prisms from another world. Whitney Hagen | Chromatic Conditions constructs the scaffolding for an unseen geometry, aligning with the theme of the 61st Venice Biennale, In Minor Keys.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Whitney Hagen holds a BA in Studio Arts from Bard College. Her artwork has been exhibited in the Northeastern United States, including the Hudson Valley in New York State and in New England. This exhibition in Venice, Italy is the first solo exhibition for the artist in Europe. Whitney Hagen lives and works in Newport, Rhode Island and is represented by Jessica Hagen Fine Art + Design.
