Whitney Hagen's paintings depend on flat colors to shape and bend space, allowing the viewer to create their own associations with the lines and forms of her work.

Whitney Hagen holds a BA in Studio Arts from Bard College. Her artwork has been exhibited in the Northeastern United States, including the Hudson Valley in New York State  and in New England.  Whitney Hagen lives and works in Newport, Rhode Island.
