Overview
ANNE LEITH | Land (E)scape, The Richards Gallery at Opus 40
Anne Leith uses the forest, waterfalls, clouds and streams as touchstones for her gestural brushwork in response to the rhythms of nature.

The paintings of Anne Leith are created in response to nature. With her oil paints, easel and large boards, she ventures into the woodlands of the Hudson Valley to capture the transient light reflecting off water and filtering through tree branches. The paintings are visceral in that  sounds, smells, colors, and textures of nature emenate from the artworks. Leith uses the forest, waterfalls, clouds and streams as touchstones for her gestural brushwork in response to the rhythms of nature. Anne Leith | Land  (E)scape opens on Saturday April 4 and a reception for the artists is on Sunday, April 12 from 3:00 - 5:00 PM at the Richards Gallery at Opus 40 356 George Sickle Road, Saugerties, NY 12477.
