CAROLŸNNE WHITEFEATHER | Edges
Whitefeather lived and immersed herself daily in the crystalline waters of Florida's lakes and rivers. Her work and travels across great distances include geolocations and cultures with heritage that engage with water and color as vital in knowledge and understanding for social and material culture.
Edges
Nature Design and Artisan Design hold information, understanding, and communication.
Edges, in Nature and Artisan Design, exist as natural and designed intersections between one space or place and another.
Carolӯnne Whitefeather
Edges pivots to exist on its own from within an artisan collection, drawing on points from Seeing, Observing, and Learning Visual Language in Nature to become a meaningful part of the artisan signature language created in Fine Art Printmaking.
The ee wai earth water collection organizes its art from individual and collective creative experiences and art project documentation. ee wai earth water follows Nature as Rising, Up and Over, Descending, Edges, and Evaporation. As a selected exhibit, Edges presents views into Nature as Teacher, Provider, and the original Designer of Visual Language Elements, and an artist in relationship with their processes and materials.
Early life along the edges of clear water and specific experiences encouraged the ideas that led to Whitefeather’s Innova in Fine Art Printmaking. With. and from projects and commissioned collaborations, information developed as drawn and photographic images as Fine Art held as resource files before their artistic qualities brought them into becoming a collection of their own. Edges focuses on Nature Design and Artisan Design for image, and reflects First People cultural information developed pre-contact and continuing to today. The collection presents an individual artisan's visual signature. It is the character of the signature that becomes recognizable as elements, techniques, processes, and materials become one.
This Artist Signature favors two universal Visual Language Elements: Colour and Light. Together they connect back to the artist’s earliest Seeing, Learning, and Visual Thinking. Both compose Line, Shape, Texture, Time, Dimension, Scale, Repetition, and Variation. What developed over time to become a mastery, pivots into the exploratory with a return to paint as material and process, engaging photography as art and process. Choosing Action Painting, with or without tools in hand, engages paint as a partner in creating language and image. With this, Print, Paint, and Photography form a cohesive portfolio.
No use of AI exists in research, hand-rendered studio, or project records. Printmaking, Painting, and Digital Photography create original, one-of-a-kind works of Fine Art.
Whitefeather lived and immersed herself daily in the crystalline waters of Florida's lakes and rivers. Her work and travels across great distances include geolocations and cultures with heritage that engage with water and color as vital in knowledge and understanding for social and material culture. Her return to graduate studies with master artisans at The University of Oklahoma College of Fine Arts saw the dedicated program for research and development of an archival fine print system for water-based acrylic inks and redevelopment of the screen-print process for Fine Art Serigraphy. The Southeast Collection became the first and only collection in this Change in Fine Art Printmaking.
